MCQ Question Type

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are a common type of assessment in which a question is accompanied by a set of options, among which the candidate must choose the correct answer.

These questions often feature a question or problem, and a list of alternatives. Candidates must carefully evaluate these choices to select the most appropriate response. MCQs can be designed to test factual knowledge, comprehension, and even critical thinking skills.

The fields and values need to be updated while creating the question.

Question Type - The Question Type is auto populated. It refers to the question type which is selected by the user.

Question Bank - The drop-down will show the banks available for the user to choose from, in which they plan to create a question.

Question Topic - It refers to the subject or theme around which a question is centred.

Question Aims -It refers to the intended goals, objectives, or purposes of a question.(Optional field)

Question - The user needs to input the actual question into this field.

Add Image - A pictorial representation related to the question can be attached in this field. (optional field)

Marking Guide - In MCQ type Questions, the marking guide is configured as the multiple choices to be displayed to the candidates. Marking Guide consists of distractors in which a single field will be selected as the correct answer.

When the user click on the + icon next to the answer box, the distractors will increase, and clicking on the - icon will decrease the distractors.

Tags -Tags are descriptive labels or keywords that are assigned to questions. These tags help categorise and organize questions. Tags can make it easier to find items across a large database. Users can search for questions by entering tag keywords, enabling quick access to content related to a specific tag.
