A ranking question is a type of survey or assessment question that asks respondents to order a list of items according to their preferences or criteria. This type of question helps to determine the relative importance or preference of different options from the perspective of the respondent.


The fields and values need to be updated while creating the question.


Question Type - The Question Type is auto-populated. It refers to the question type which is selected by the user.


Question Bank -The dropdown will show the banks available for the user to choose from, in which they plan to create a question.


Question Topic - It refers to the subject or theme around which a question is centered.


Question Aims - It refers to the intended goals, objectives, or purposes of a question. (Optional field)


Question Stem - Question Stem presents candidates with scenarios or case studies that resemble challenges they might encounter in professional settings. These scenarios can involve workplace dilemmas, decision-making situations, or complex issues related to the field of assessment.


Default Mark - The Default Mark field represents the Marks allotted for the particular question.


Marking Guide -In Ranking-type questions, the marking guide is set up with distractors arranged in a sequential order. These distractors will be shuffled and presented to candidates, who will need to arrange them correctly.


Tags -Tags are descriptive labels or keywords that are assigned to questions. These tags help categorise and organize questions. Tags can make it easier to find items across a large database. Users can search for questions by entering tag keywords, enabling quick access to content related to a specific tag.
